Almost a year ago Matt and Heather tied the knot! We have all been talking about their backyard vintage wedding ever sense. The styling was incredible down to the last detail. Heather (the bride) paid close attention to thrift stores and starting compiling details a year prior to their wedding, which was not unoticed.
We worked closely with Matt and Heather to create their wedding invitation suite which incorporated custom silhouettes, fishnet and a amazing vintage floral print. You can see a peek of their suite set in our gallery. Heather the queen of vintage found reclaimed windows from a building in Bellingham's historic downtown. The windows were painted with chalkboard paint and we finished them up with custom programs, one for the bridal party and one for the ceremony. So fun!
This is a semi personal project that is near to my heart. My husband Eldad asked me to help him design a postcard for his clients which he could giveaway as well as use as thank you cards. What a great project I love that we were able to collaborate together on a postcard that showcases him and his love for writing.
Check out Eldad's talents here!
There are three elements I love to see in a invitation suite:
This suite incorporates all three of my favorite elements! Oh and I also love typography but thats always a swoon for me on every suite I design! Natalie and Nick are lovers from Virginia who are tying the knot at a historic mansion in Charleston, Virginia. Natalie's elements were rustic, chic, with notes of whimsical romance. She was inspired by a suite we did for Semiahmoo Resort's open house years ago (see the video here) and with that inspiration we created their wedding invitation suite.
As mentioned earlier materials pay a huge part in this suite set. We used bleached peacock feathers, tea stained fabric, luscious dupioni silk ribbon, and classic letterpress done by Honeybee Press.
Love baby shower invitations! We just can't get enough as babies are in the air. These invitations were for my dear friend Jaslyn Throne who happens to be a fabulously talented photographer in Vancouver, Canada. We tried our hardest to surprise this new Mama, although she acted surprised she knew all along. Regardless the invitations were a surprise, I worked closely with Rob at Honeybee Press for the amazing letterpress printing as well as Christy from Pligrams Quill Studio for the beautiful calligraphy. Bling Bling to Abbey the new addition to the Thorne's!
